1)In Thomson's model, electrons were free to rotate in rings which were further stabilized by interactions between the electrons, and spectra were to be accounted for by energy differences of different ring orbits.
For rutherford's model, The nucleus and the electrons arrange like the Solar system. The positive charges concentrates in a tiny volume in the center of the atom. This is call nucleus while the negatively-charged electrons around the nucleus in a far distance from nucleus. The mass of the atom concentrates in the nucleus
2)In the Gold Foil experiment, Rutherford shoot the positively-charged alpha particles to a very thin goil foil which only thick as a few atoms. It was found that almost all particles pass the gold foil but a few (about 1 an 8000) bonced back. If the Thomson's model is correct, all particles should pass the foil and the very light electrons cannot stop the alpha particles. So he think that a very small in size but had a very large mass positive charged center in the atom as like charge repal.

I am not going to do your homework.
So, I am just pointing out the key points and you finish your own writing.

(1) "space" (in the atom) is the keyword.
In Thompson's model, there are something in the whole atom.
In Rutherford's model, there is much space in the atom.

(2) Rutherford's gold foil experiment - large deflection and/or complete bouncing back of positively charged particle is the evidence you are asking.

Hope this helps.
