determination of vitamin C content~

Sugar is present in all fruit juice. However, sugar may also oxidized by iodine, hence affecting the determination of vitamin C in this experiment. Design a further experiment to find out whether such claim is true.

“Such claim” means:
Sugar in fruit juice may be oxidized by iodine. (If so, this would affect the results in determination of vitamin C in fruit juice.)

”Whether such claim is true” means:
If sugar can be oxidized by iodine, the claim is true.
If sugar cannot be oxidized by iodine, the claim is not true.

Further experiment:
(1) Find out what kind(s) of sugar is/are present in the fruit juice used in the experiment. This can be done by literature survey.
(2) Add one drop of iodine solution to the solution of the sugar that found in (1). If the iodine solution is decolorized, the claim is true because iodine is reduced by the sugar. Otherwise, the claim is not true because iodine is not reduced by the sugar.
