1.You can put hydrocarbons with lower melting point ( such as LPG and gasoline ) on water surface. They float on water and burn easily.
2.You can put reactive metals on water surface. For example, when potassium reacts with water, it burns with a lilac flame and keep moving on water surface. ( Rubidium and caesium can also burn on water surface, but it is too dangerous to do so because they have explosive reaction with water. )
Oil may be used, but wether it burns depends on what kind of oil it is. However, I don't think wax can be used because it is difficult to lit up, a cotton wool ( as a wick ) may be needed to assist the wax to burn.

Here is another suggestion, but DON'T WORK IT OUT as it is VERY DANGEROUS.
Alcohol can also be burnt up easily, it can dissolve in water and be lit up.
However, a fire may be caused easily if the mixture of alcohol and water spill out.
easy,just do what i say,ok?
here it is:
in fact ,there are a few methods,ok?
1. gasoline (just simply put them onto the water)
2.potassium(simply put them onto the water again!..what a easy stuff!)
3.oil(put them onto the water's surface and burn them, easy enough, right?)
4.wax(the same)
5.surphur(the same,the same!)
easy ,right?
hope this can help you!
P.S.you can just put something which can be burnt onto the water is the most simpple method, but it must be dry!(this is also the most differcurt thing to deal with in this experience!)
bye!
