can anyone solve the following quadratic equation for x:
4000=48x^2-48x

4000=48x^2-48x
Dividing by 16,
250 = 3x^2 - 16x
Or 3x^2 - 16x - 250 = 0
Or x = [-(-16) +- sqrt{(-16)^2 - 4*3*(-250)}]/(2*3)
Or x = [16 +- sqrt(156 + 3000)]/6
Or x = [16 +- sqrt(3156)]/6
Or x = [16 +- sqrt(4*789)]/6
Or x = [16 +- 2 * sqrt(789)]/6
Or x = 16/6 +- (2/6) * sqrt(789)
Or x = 8/3 +- (1/3) * sqrt(789)

4000 = 48x^2 - 48x
48x^2 - 48x - 4000 = 0
(48x^2 - 48x - 4000)/16 = 0/16
3x^2 - 3x - 250 = 0
x = [-b ±√(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a

a = 3
b = -3
c = -250

x = [3 ±√(9 + 3000)]/6
x = [3 ±√3009]/6

∴ x = [3 ±√3009]/6

3 ± √(9 + 3000)

subtract 4000 from both sides to get
48x^2-48x-4000=0
