proposition 2 animal welfare?

I dont think its been voted yet..I believe Calif is voting on this...It will prohibate, calves, chicken, pigs, to be housed in small quarters..As to this day, calves or veal as sold in the grocery stores, are kept is areas where they cant even turn around in their pens..same with pigs, and chickens are kept in cages with 6 hens in each cage..This will in turn cause some farmers to go out of business, because they cant afford to put such large quanaties of animals in other facilities...This would cause skyrocketing prices, passing it on to the consumer...The method they have been doing has gone on for years..Animal activists have been hammering away at this bill to get it passed...I feel its not fair for the animal because it is cruel...
