Ash's father shown up in the Pokémon series. True or False?

thing is, he may have shown up if the show didn't dive down hill so fast from the first season, now its so childish (yes, even more so), but it would be sorta neat wouldn't it? i think maybe it gives older pokemon games more of incentive to play since they can put themselves in ashes father's shoes in his youth, or something i dunno...

A.) True! Brock and May's fathers has shown up. In fact Brock and May's mothers shown up.

He hadn't shown up physically, but here's a reference to him in the series.
