Easy but i dont know if i can reduce it further:
Question:
3x²-6x
---------
2xy-4y

Solution:
Taking 3x common from numerator and 2y common from denominator we have:
3x(x-2)
----------
2y(x-2)

(x-2)/(x-2) = 1

so the answer is:
3x
-----
2y

take out 3x common in the numerator and 2y common in the denominator. Hence the fraction becomes (3x/2y). because (x-2) in both the numerator and denominator gets cancelled.

3x(x-2) 3x
----------= -----
2y(x-2) 2y

the simplest way is in small increments. say you have 80 4/20 first divide appropriate and backside via 2 40 two/10 you're nevertheless with even numbers so which you're able to do 2 returned 21/5 5 is best so which you won't be in a position to decrease any extra effective. the secret's to repeatedly decrease the fraction utilising small increments

(3x^2 - 6x)/(2xy - 4y)
= 3x(x - 2)/2y(x - 2) (cancel out x - 2)
= 3x/2y

3x (x - 2)
--------------
2y (x - 2)

3x
----
2y
