divide the real number line into two regions:
x<3 and x>=3
case1: x<3
-2(x-3)=3x+5
-2x+6=3x+5
-5x=-1
x=1/5
case2:x>=3
2(x-3)=3x+5
2x-6=3x+5
-x=11
x=-11(reject)
the soulutin is x=1/5
