請問會計員(accounting)同審查員(auditing)的工作性質及所需的個人條件素質的分別?

簡單講, 會計員做數, 審查員核數.
Accountant 需要從交易資料和公司資料中, 經過整理入帳等工作然後編製財務報表.
Auditor 需要在交易資料和公司資料中抽查和分析, 去認証公司的財務報表是否 true and fair.
其實兩者都需要好的分析能力和做事的準確性. 有人以為 Auditor 需要較高的水平, 這只是一廂情願和不知內情的想法. 其實有好多 Auditor 做了幾年之後都係轉去做 Accountant.
不過, 在工作中, Accountant 通常只係會接觸到自己公司的帳目. 而 Auditor 會接觸到不同公司的帳目, 在開眼界來說會是一件好事. 這也是為何很多會計畢業生都選擇先做 Auditor, 然後才轉去做 Accountant 的原因.

補充一點: 好多人以為做過 Auditor 轉入做 Accountant 前途會好些, 這也是一廂情願的想法. 因為在企業內的升職, 跟個人的會計技術和視野沒有直接關連.

Accounting staff require lesser auditing and financial standards knowledge. Accounting is usually an interanl job while an audit is normally an external work e.g. audit of another company under the statutory audit. So, audit staff usually a nearly qualified or with a high technical knowhow than an accounting staff. Audit staff has a much wider business and experience and could easily advance its career path.
