College student- undocumented immigrant? What should she do?

I have a friend who is about to graduate with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, but she can't work after she graduates. She came with her parents from Brazil when she was 8 years old on a visa, which the family overstayed. She does not have a green-card. She can not apply for citizenship, so please refrain from suggesting for her to do that. She wants to stay here, but does not wish to keep staying here illegally, but she does not want to go back to Brazil either. What do you think she should do? (No ignorant answers or rants about how much you dislike/hate/are annoyed by undocumented immigrants, please- thank you :)

That's one of the downsides of being an illegal immigrant. It's not legal for you to work in the US.

There isn't much she can do, unless she wants to work as a maid or a manual laborer. Her best bet would be to go back to Brazil and get a good job there. She'll do well with a US degree.

She doesn't want to stay here illegally, she doesn't want to go back to Brazil, and she can't apply for citizenship. I really don't know what she expects to happen.

She had a chance to rectify her situation, and she blew it. If she had returned voluntarily before she turned 18, her parents' illegal acts would not have been held against her and she could have applied for a student visa, or immigration, and if she qualified, she could have come legally.

Now she has chosen as an adult to remain here illegally. Therefore it is no longer a matter of "my parents did it to me." She did it herself. She has no choice but to return to her own country. She will be barred from reentry for 10 years. Otherwise, she is subject to arrest, detention, deportation and bar to reentry.

She stays here, illegally, and scrubs toilets or she goes back to her own country and lead a legal life.

No my fault for her predicament.

Her only option is to get a green card through marriage.

She can't get a working visa because she has been out of status for so long.

If she really does want to stay in the US, her best bet is to find a really good immigration lawyer and find some way to immigrate legally. She may end up having to go back to Brazil temporarily and then coming back on a work visa after she finds a job.
