Good Grief! You must be in one of those ultra-liberal schools. Don't worry about facts; just give them what they want. The thesis you should be going with is that "global warming" is responsible for all ills real and imagined. Don't fight it or question it. Just go with the flow because when you enter the working world, you will often times be called upon to defend something you might personally disagree with.
How do those topics relate?
1. The world is turning hot, flat, and crowded. I don't understand the "flat" part of it but "hot" refers to global warming and "crowded" refers to the loss of land due to the ice caps melting from global warming. Whatever you do, don't point out the the southern icecap is expanding while the northern icecap is melting.
2. Reduced dependency on oil might affect countries. Burning oil causes CO2 to be released into the atmosphere which then increases global warming. So, if countries reduced dependency on oil, it would cause less CO2 to be released into the atmosphere and would therefore keep the earth habitable for longer. Please do not point out that the most likely energy replacement for oil would be electric vehicles which get there energy from electrical power plants which mostly get their energy from burning oil and coal.
3. Global warming. Global warming must be accepted as a man-made calamity. Under no circumstances should you relate it to lessening sun spot activity.
Ok, so here is the thesis sentence you crave: Man-Made Global Warming Will Spawn A Chain Reaction Of Global Crises For All Humanity.
