Hong Kong was once a British colony and deeply influenced by it's culture. As such, most of the people regard English as very important. The Hong Kong people in general have higher English standard than many other countries. On the contrary, the awareness of the importance of Chinese is not strong enough..... after the hand over of Hong Kong to China, the general public have more consciousness on the Chinese culture and knowledge.
In view of offering more chances to students for learning Chinese, teaching in mother language is proposed to be launching in all primary and secondary schools.

Hong Kong once was the British colony, under the influence of British culture, general people alsp pay much attention on English. The English level of Hong Kong people are higher than other places, but there is less attention on Chinese. Nevertheless, after the hand over of Hong Kong to China, there is greater attention on the knowledge of Chinese culture in the society.

In order to provide more opportunities for the students to learn Chinese, it is suggested that all the primary and secondary schools should use Chinese as the teaching medium.

Hong Kong had been a British Colony, affected by British culture. Generally, people emphasized the importance of learning English, the English standard of Hong Kong people was higher than many other places. On the contrary, neglected the importance of leaning Chinese. After Hong Kong has returned to China, the society has realized to pay more attenton in learning Chinese and its culture.

In order to let the children to have more opportunities to get in touch with Chinese, mother-tongue education is necessary, we suggest all primary and secondary schools to use Chinese as medium of speech.
