yes it does help, all that you mentioned and if ur dog always bit or pulls on the leash you should tell it off....like"bad dog bad dog", but never hit ur dog hardly only maybe hit his head gently the trainers there are very good, they dont hit ur dog...and my dog learnt how to go to toilet in the correct place after he taught it :D
