為什麼樹會掉下一塊塊的皮?

樹幹會隨著樹的生長而升高，脫皮是正常的新陳代謝，就算大面積的脫皮也不必太擔心，完全可以排除蟲害和疾病的因素，對樹的生長也沒有任何影響，因為樹脫皮後的那一層新皮其實仍然是樹皮，在老的樹皮脫落以後，這層新的樹皮就會逐漸轉變成灰褐色，承擔起輸送養分的功能，整個過程是非常自然，其實樹每年都會有這種老皮脫落的現象。

in general, not all types of tree shed their bark, under normal growing condition. these trees would only shed their bark, if under insect attack e.g. termites or in the worse case, caused by vandelism.

only some tree species will shed their bark as they grow, e.g. Melaleuca sp., Eucaluptus sp. & etc. this will be normal and it happens all year round.

becuse they are old
and they need to change skin because of the season
