Why do you think the old people need help?

ok Yes, I think the government should help: 1.It is a the government's duty to help the elderly as helping the poor or weak ones in society is always one of the aims of the government.

2.The government is a big organization. It can do more things for them than the charitable organizations so it should offer help. 3.Only the government can set up laws,regulations for the benefit of the elderly. Other organizations only ask the government to do it.

4.The government can offer funds to improve the fascilities/housing/welfare for them. Generally, I think the government should help because it have the ability(see how many things it can do!) and duty towards them. Answer from rainette134 :).. thanks!

here are some points:
1. they are weak and frail
2.they are vulnerable to diseases and illness
3.they have contributed a lot to society when they were young so it is our duty to serve them when they are old.
4.due to illness or the decline in health, the elderly may be easily cheated, hurt, oppressed by people---->this is injustice so we have to help them.
