This is a conversion question. Learn the following format:
Given x Desired unit/parallel unit of given = desired unit with respect to Given
For example:
We know there are 1000mm in one meter, so we can convert our given unit into meters. From meters, we can get centimeters (we know there is 100cm per each meter right?)
30mm x 1m/1000mm = 0.03m (notice how the millimeter essentially cancels itself out (30mm divided by 1000mm = 0.03) now multiplied by 1m you have exactly 0.03 meters.
You can convert this easily into centimeters. You know that there are 100 centimeters in a meter, so take your given 0.03 meters and convert accordingly.
0.03m x 100cm/1m = 3cm
Notice that now by converting things into meters you can easily convert any of these similar units of measurement.
