multiple is the equation of 2 numbers times together.

go through the 9 times table until the first one over 100 appears,
therefore
9x12=108

this is the first multiply of 9 that is over 100.

108
Because :
if u need a multiple of 9 , then sum of its digits needs to be 9 .
the First number above 100 and multiple of 9 = 1+0+8 = 9 . so its 108.

100/9 gives 11 as quotient and 1 as remainder.

then
do 9-1=8

then

100+8=108

it implies that 108 is the first number after 100 which is multiple of 9

108. Why?

9 x 11
= 99 (< 100)

9 x 12
= 108 (> 100)

∴ the first multiple of nine over 100 is 108.

9x12 = 108

a shortcut in knowing if a number is a multiple of 9 is if you add up all the numbers it'll be equal to 9

9x1 = 9 (9)
9x2 = 18 (8+1 =9)
9x3 = 27 (2+7 = 9)
9x4 = 36 (3+6 = 9)
9x5 = 45 (4+5 = 9)

and so on and so forth..

To solve this problem, divide 100 by 9. You do not need to know the exact value. Just find out between what two integers will the result of the division lie.
If you divide 100 by 9, then the result is somewhere between 11 and 12. Take the larger of the two. So, take 12.
Multiply 12 with 9 and you get 108.
