maths help? the volume of this cuboid is 50cm3 find the missing length?

ive done the other ones but how do u work this one out please help?

2 * c * c = 50
Or 2 * c^2 = 50
Or c^2 = 50/2
Or c^2 = 25
Take square root on both sides.
c = sqrt(25)
Or c = 5 cm

Ans: 5 cm

2c^2 = 50
c^2 = 25

thus, c = +5cm or -5cm (rejected) :D

c*c = c^2
2*c*c = 2c^2

2c^2 = 50

Divide both sides by 2 to get rid of the 2 and get the c^2 alone:

2c^2 = 50
--.......------
2..........2

c^2 = 25

Take the square root of both sides to get c^2 to become c (Vc^2 = c):

c = V25

V25 = 5

c = 5

V = squareroot

it is 2cm x 5cm x 5 cm = 50 cm^3 hence c = 5 cm.

2 x C x C = 50cm
2 x C squared = 50
C squared = 25
squared root (C squared) = square root of 25
therefore C = 5

so 2c^2=50
bring the 2 over and divide
c^2=50/2
c^2=25
so the opposite of squared is squareroot
so
c= squareroot of 25
c=+/-5
but in this case 5 as you cannot have a negative length

Volume of cuboid= length* breadth* height Since the base is in the shape of a square, length= breadth= [x] cm height =10 cm Volume of cuboid=(10*[x]^2) cubic cm
