Chef and Cook?

Who should be called Chef? And, who should be a Cook?
I just wonder how a chef is qualified, who knows about it??

Does "chef" mean the person who is in charge of the kitchen or particular area(eg. pastry = sou chef)? Cook is just someone who receives order from a chef and responsible for cooking?

Yes...chef is a person whoin charge the kitchen and who must have highest skill of cooking in the kitchen but usually a chef won't cook during the regular days especially special days, or cooking for someone special.
Cook is a person who under chef, and divide to parts like pasta, main, dessert etc. Chef control the production of these parts, time or quality of food.
