about electrical conductivity !!!

in the experiment of titration between H2SO4 and Ba(OH)2 by using electrical conductivity to determine its end point ,why an alternating current but not a direct current is used ?

Ba^2+(aq) + SO4^2-(aq) --> BaSO4(s)The reaction decrease mobile ions, and conductivity of the solution decrease.
No matter DC or AC would get this result. ( decrease of conductivity )
But if DC is used. It would have a polarization effect. +ve ion migrate to one side and -ve ion migrate to another side. This is no good and affect the accuracy of the test. AC is better here.
