✔ 最佳答案
x*-2x = 5x - 2
-2x^2 - 5x + 2 = 0
x = [-b ±√(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a

a = -2
b = -5
c = 2

x = [5 ±√(25 + 16)]/-4
x = [5 ±√41]/-4
x = [5 ±6.4]/-4 (approx.)

x = [5 + 6.4]/-4
x = -11.4/4
x = -2.85

x = [5 - 6.4]/-4
x = -1.4/-4
x = 0.35

∴ x = -2.85 , 0.35 (approx.)

x² - 2x = 5x - 2 x² - 7x = - 2 x² - 7/2x = - 2 + (- 7/2)² x² - 7/2x = - 8/4 + 49/4 (x - 7/2)² = 41/2 x - 7/2 = √(41/2) Values of x: x - 7/2 - √(41/2) = 0, x = 7/2 + √(41/2) x - 7/2 + √(41/2) = 0, x = 7/2 - √(41/2) Answer: x = (7/2 + √[41/2]), (7/2 - √[41/2])

Poorly presented question I`m afraid to say.

If you mean :-

x² - 2x = 5x - 2
x² - 7x + 2 = 0
x = [ 7 ± √ (49 - 8 ) ] / 2
x = [ 7 ± √ (41) ] / 2

Is that (x)(-2x)=5x-2?

-2x^2=5x-2
0=2x^2+5x-2

x={(-5)±√[(5)^2-4(2)(-2)]}/2(2)
x=[(-5)±√(41)]/4
x=(-5+√(41))/4 or (-5-√(41))/4

i guess you wanna say:

X^2-2x=5x-2

=> X^2=5x-2+2x

=>X^2=7x-2

=>X^2-7x+2

the cuadratic formula is:

x=[-b+-(b^2-4ac)^(1/2)]/2a

here:

a=1, b=7, c=2 then

=> x=[-7+-(7^2-4*1*2)^(1/2)]/2

just put in the calculator, and that's it.

-2x^2-5x+2=0
2x^2+5x-2=0
x=(-5±sqrt(25+16))/4
=(-5±sqrt31)/4
