Price of the beef 10 years later= 50 X (1 + 7%)10= $98.36 (cor. to the nearest cent)
b. Price of the beef 6 years later
= 50 X (1 + 7%)6
= $75.04 (cor. to the nearest cent)
So, the percentage of increase in the price
= (75.04 - 50) / 50 X 100%
= 50.1% (cor. to 3 sig. fig.)

b) [ $50 * (1+ 7%)^6 - $50 ] / $50 * 100%
= ($75.0365 - $50) / $50 * 100%
= 50.07%
= $98.36
