✔ 最佳答案
3x + 5 = 1
3x = -4
x = -4/3

|3x + 5| = 1
3x + 5 = ±1

3x + 5 = 1
3x = 1 - 5
3x = -4
x = -4/3

3x + 5 = -1
3x = -1 - 5
3x = -6
x = -6/3
x = -2

∴ x = -2 , -4/3

|2x/3 - 4| = 2 1/5 (2x/3 - 4)² = (11/5)² 4x²/9 - 16x/3 + 16 = 4.84 4x²/9 - 16x/3 + 11.16 = 0 x² - 12x + 25.11 = 0 x = (12 ± √(12² - 4*1*25.11) )/ (2*1) = (12 ± √(43.56) )/2 = (12 ± 6.6 )/2 = 6 ± 3.3 so x = 2.7 or 9.3

3x+5=1
3x=1-5
3x=-4
x=-4/3
x=-1.3333333

If x = -2 then 3x+5=-1 not 1 as is given so 4/3 is correct. (Actual value is -4/3).

3x+5=1
subtract 5 from both sides
3x= -4
divide 3 from both sides
x= -4/3
2008-09-29 3:02 pm
3x + 5 = 1
3x = -5 + 1 [transpose the 5 and change the sign]
3x = -4 [simplify]
x = -4/3 [make x subject of formular by simplifying]

Case 1: 3x+5 > 0
|3x+5| = 3x+5
3x+5 =1
3x=-4
x=-4/3

Case 2: 3x+5 < 0
|3x+5| = -(3x+5) = -3x-5
-3x-5 = 1
-3x =6
x=-2

The two solutions are x=-4/3 and x=-2

To get rid of the absolute value bars write like this.

-1=3x+5=1 and solve for x.

-6=3x=-4 divide everything by 3

-2=x=-4/3 and you are done

3x = 1-5
3x = -4
x= -4/3
Absolute value is always positive and use that modulus sign
Therefore x is 4/3
