Main memory is divided into ROM and RAMRom: save forever and cannot be edited
- save Bios program in old computers
Ram:
- save temporary files/programs running/variables
Secondary memory is to store data for future use and edit
Hard disk/Folppy/CD/DVD/Flash memory
