passing through the intersection of 2x + y - 8 = 0 and 3x - y - 2 = 0, and perpeaddicular to the y-axis

solution:2x+y-8=0--------(1)
3x-y-2=0---------(2)
by sloving (1) and (2)
we get x=2 and y=4
so the intersection point of (1) and (2) is (2,4)
as x=2 is parallel to y-axis
therefore the answer is y=4

(1) + (2) we get
5x = 10
x = 2.
Therefore, the line passing through the intersecting point and perpendicular to the y -axis is x =2.
