inside a basket there are 3 pears 4 applesand 5 oranges Alan takes out a fruit from the basket at rantom
Q:Find the probability that an orange is NOT taken out

The total possible outcomes: 3+4+5=12P(not an orange) = P(an apple or a pear)
P(not an orange) = 3/12 + 4/12
= 7/12 (7 over 12)

The probability that an orange is NOT taken out:
(4+3)/12
=7/12
(4+3)/12
=7/12
