the bulb of the thermometer is placed near to the side-arm near to the
condenser. this is to record the temperature of the vapour which is distilled
over and collected. it gives the boiling point of water in this case.

液體受熱氣化, 蒸氣走入儀器分支"side arm", 被condenser 冷卻, 由容器收集
圖中溫度計放係"side arm" 儀器分支左近~ 咁就可以量度出液體既沸點~
