I am sorry that I could come for lunch on 2.8.08. The case which is scheduled at 1:00am is a bit thorny. It is expected to drag on quite a while.

我認為上面could字可能是could not之誤;1:00am是10:00am更加合理。
I am sorry that I could not come for lunch on 2.8.08. The case which is scheduled at 10:00am is a bit thorny. It is expected to drag on quite a while.較合情理。

Phrase解釋:
1) ' I could come' 是我能出席。
2) ' drag on quite a while'解作拖延一段頗長的時間。

是否抄漏了個not字,用咗sorry一字但話I could come?按前文後理及用了歉意的sorry,應該是I am sorry that I could not come 合理啲。
