2x+1 over 5 - 3x+2 over 7?

please help?? Im going to have a similar problem on my test tonight and i cant figure out how to solve this type of problem

(2x + 1)/5 - (3x + 2)/7
= [7(2x + 1)] / 35 - [5(3x + 2] / 35
= (14x + 7 - 15x - 10) / 35
= (-x - 3) / 35
= -(x + 3)/35

(2x + 5)/5 - (3x + 2)/7
= [(2x + 5)/5][7/7] - [(3x + 2)/7][5/5]
= 7(2x + 5)/35 - 5(3x + 2)/35
= (14x + 35)/35 - (15x + 10)/35
= (14x + 35 - 15x - 10)/35
= (14x - 15x + 35 - 10)/35
= (-x + 25)/35

so remember that the 2x + 1 and 5-3x+2 will be multiplied and then 7 will b in denominator.

2x+1/35 + 3x+2/35
14x+7/35 - 15x+10/35

then just solve.

combine like terms,
(-1).(1/7)(3x+2)+1/5(2x+1) = 0;
( -1 )( 3/7x +2/7)+1/5(2x+1)=0;
(- 3/7)x - 2/7+1/5(2x+1)=0;
(-3/7)x-2/7+2/5x+1/5=0;
(-1/35)x-2/7+1/5=0;
(-1/35)x-3/35 = 0;
(-1/35)x=3/35
x = -3

2x+1 over 5 - 3x+2 over 7

common denominator = 35

7(2x+1) over 35 - 5(3x+2) over 35

Now distribute

14x+7 over 35 - 15x+10 over 35

Join them together

(14x+7) - (15x+10) over 35

Remove brackets

14x + 7 - 15x - 10 over 35

The last + changes to minus because in brackets it makes the number smaller, so it has to make it smaller without brackets too.

Group together things of the same.. umm.. thing

14x - 15x + 7 - 10 over 35

Solve

(-1)x + (-3) over 35
