公屋加名一事

If you want to add the said daughter into the household, you have to obtain the following documents:-

(1) A copy of death certificate or burial certificate certifying that your ex-husband had passed away in China; you should liaise with your ex-husband's relatives for such proof;

(2) your daughter's custody right has been granted to your ex-huaband upon divorce, therefore, you have to apply to the Court for reversion of the custody right of the said daughter to youa after the death of your ex-husband. Death certificate of your ex-husband or your income proof are required to substantiate your claim of custody of the said daughter;

(3) your divorce documents and the birth certicate of the said daughter be submitted to the Housing officer;

(4) a Statutary Declaration be obtained with regard to the said daughter who is genuinely living with you in the public housing unit and that she is socially and financially dependent on you since the death of your ex-husband;

(5) after you have done items (1) to (4), you have to fill in an application form for addition of the said daughter into your household;

(6) should you have any problems concerning such addition, you may approach the Housing Department or Social Welfare Department for further assistance.

(7) the said daugthter should be under 18 years of age.
