It is often claimed that HKSAR government does not take preventive measures in food safety especially foods are imported from mainland. China's deadly baby milk scandal is not the only food problems in recent years. The recall of all Yili milk products indicates that the severity of food safety problem becomes more serious. Since milk is the only food for infants, the milk product contain the industrial chemical melamine that has killed four infants and sickened ten thousands in the mainland. At least one baby in HK has been affected by the tainted milk. In my viewpoint, I urge the government should have responsiblity to find out contaminated foods before the problems are disclosured by others.
