英文文法問題...過去式...

Most of the verbs could be added with "ed" for past tense just a few, say 10% are in irregular form.Just remember the irregular verbs is good enough.

Usually, the new words are added with "ed" as past tense. For example,
I texted you."Text" is a new verb which was added to dictionary in the past few years. It was used as "noun" for many years before the introduction of SMS service.

PAST SIMPLE TENSE 簡單過去式

USE: 用法 (在這些情況下使用)

1. A past event with an exact time 一件有確定發生時間的過去事情

e.g. The children borrowed some books home yesterday. 昨天那些孩子借了一些書本回家.

2. A past habit 過去的習慣

e.g. I went to school on foot when I studied in primary school. 讀小學時, 我習慣走路上學. (我現在不再走路上學了.)

3. A past hobby 過去的興趣

e.g. I liked eating sweets when I was young. 年青時, 我喜歡吃糖果. (我現在不再喜歡吃糖果了.)

注意! 現在完成式與簡單過去式的分別是:

用現在完成式時, 發生的事件比發生的時間是更重要的.

　

e.g. John has broken the vase. 約翰打破了花瓶.

在這件事件中, 發生時間重要嗎? 你要知道什麼事發生了, 還是什麼時間發生了這件事呢?

當然, 在這件事件中, 什麼事發生了是比時間重要, 所以我們要用現在完成式.

　

再看以下的例子:

e.g. Someone killed Mr. Chan at 8 o'clock last night. 某人在昨夜八時殺了陳先生.

在這件事件中, 發生時間重要嗎? 當然重要. 因為這點可以幫助查出殺人的兇手, 對嗎?

所以在這個例子中, 我們要用簡單過去式.
