小弟今年form 3讀chemistry
我想問一問一個簡單的問題
Why conc. sodium hydroxide (corrosive) is diluted but it is still corrosive,
while other conc. chemical such as conc. hydrochloric acid(corrosive) is diluted but it is irritant?
可能有點混亂...英文不太好

But how about ammonia solution... it also is irritant and it is an alkaline solution

in my opinion, it just a fact that we found some differences between diluted base(s) and acid(s)

It is quite hard to find out how "corrosive" of a base or acid is...
we can only verify it by some experiments

in my sense, the corrosion to our body by a strong base is normally stronger than a strong acid in the same molarity since the base can decompose the sebum on our skin

maybe it is one of the reason why a diluted base is still corrosive besides a diluted acid is irritant.
