Sport is and can be great fun.

"is and can be"有冇錯??

其實呢一句呢～我係o係98"CE pastpaper 既reading comprehension見到~ 成句係‘Sport is and can be great fun . It can also be dangerous. The emphasis should be on participation rather than winning.’ 就樓byc8111的說,我覺得就是這樣~但是這是pastpaer~文法應該不會出錯吧!?

Sport is and can be great fun.
這是任何語言都不對(意思上)的語句, 中文: 運動是亦可能是很有樂趣的. 相信無人會這樣講 (一就是, 一就不是).
另一方面, 這句子在英文文法上卻沒有錯.

My suggested answer is:-

Sport is a great fun. or

Sport can be a great fun.

sport is great fun.
sport can be great fun.

二句合併：sport is and can be great fun.

所以文法上絕對沒有錯。
但真正的英文有沒有這樣的寫法就不知道了。

Umm sounds a bit funny..

I think "Sport can be great fun" sounds better.. the word: is and can be is really not needed..
