(5/6) - ½ = x - ¾ is the question.

Take the LHS:

(5/6) - ½

Insert a common denominator for both of these by finding the LCM.

(5 - 3) / 2 = ⅓.

Now, take the RHS and LHS.

⅓ = x - ¾.

=> ⅓ + ¾ = x

=> (4 + 9)12 = x

=> x = 13/12.

Hope that helped.....☺

10 - 6 = 12x - 9
4 + 9 = 12 x
x = 13 / 12

you have to make the denominator of all the fractions the same. the lowest common factor of 6,2 and 4 is 12 so use that as the denominator.

so: 5/6 x 2/2 = 10/12
1/2 x 6/6 = 6/12
3/4 x 3/3 = 9/12

then it becomes

10/12 - 6/12 = x - 9/12

take all the fractions over the same side

10/12-6/12+9/12=x
(10-6+9)/12=x
13/12=x

5/6-1/2= x- 3/4
x= 5/6 - 1/2 + 3/4
x= 5/6 - 1/2 + 3/4
x= 5/6 - 3/6 + 3/4
x= 2/6 + 3/4
x= 8+18/24
x= 26/24
x= 13/12

5/6-1/2=x-3/4
2/6=x-3/4
x=2/6+3/4
x=26/24
x= 1 1/12

5/6 - 1/2 = x - 3/4
x = 5/6 - 1/2 + 3/4
x = (5/6)(2/2) - (1/2)(6/6) + (3/4)(3/3)
x = 10/12 - 6/12 + 9/12
x = 13/12
x = 1 1/12

5/6 - 1/2= x - 3/4
get the LCD which is 6 divide it to the denominator then multiply to the numerator.
5-3/6 = x - 3/4
2/6= x - 3/4
then transpose x
-x = -2/6 - 3/4
-x = -4-9/12
[-x = -5/12] -1
x= 5/12

not really sure about it.. ahhah
