a) 5 · 10 - 6

'·' means multiplication, just like the '×' function.

So, by using the BODMAS, you calculate the multiplication part first. By doing this you get:

50 - 6, which gives 44.

First answer is 44.

Similarly, by using the BODMAS, you calculate the Brackets part first. By doing this ou get:

4 + 1 · (3)

Now, the multiplication part: 4 + 3, which gives 7. The second answer is 7.
