Your amp has 2 HDMI input, why not using it tho?
PS3 is quite tricky to play around especially for audio coding. The Optical output isn't enough for multi channels Hi defination sound, the only option is using the HDMI port if you want to get everything from your PS3.
From your PS3 sound menu, you can simply check these coding... (Dolby True HD 5.1, DTS HD MA 5.1 , Dolby 5.1 & DTS 5.1) The frequency range your amp supports is 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz. Of course, you need to select HDMI as your audio interface from your PS3.
If and only if you can't use HDMI as your audio interface, what you need to do is read through your amp menu. Only from there, you can find out which coding your amp is supports through the optical input. (I tried to search your amp online but only limited infos available)
