this is a simple question

X/2-X+1/3=1
THE LCM of 2 and 3 is 6 so
3x-2x+2/6=1
x+2/6=1
x+2=6
x=6-2
x=4

thats the answer

Why have this bracket [
x/2 - (x + 1)/3 = 1
3x - 2x - 2 = 6
x = 8

Here it is, step by step. Do this on paper please.

Multiply both sides by 6 because that will get rid of the denominators 2 and 3. Now you should have 3X -2X -2 = 6 Cleaning that up 3X -2X = 6 +2 will give you X = 8. And, if you plug 8 into your original equation you will see that it works

x/2 - (x + 1)/3 = 1
6[x/2 - (x + 1)/3] = 6(1)
3x - 2(x + 1) = 6
3x - 2*x - 2*1 = 6
3x - 2x - 2 = 6
3x - 2x = 6 + 2
x = 8
