(a) prove , by mathematical induction , that

1) 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + n = 1/2 n ( n + 1 )

2) 1.2 + 2.3 + 3.4 + ... + n ( n +1 ) = 1/3 n ( n + 1 )( n +2 )

a part 我已計好 , b part 不懂 請幫忙 , thank !

(b) Using the formulae in (a) , find the sum of

1² + 2² +3² + ... + n²

=1*1+2*2+..............唔寫咁祥細,唔想打字
=1*(2-1)+2*(3-1)+..........
=1/3 n ( n + 1 )( n +2 )-1/2 n ( n + 1 )
(因為你乘開之後可以抽到(a)(2)-(a)(1)))

(1)-(2)點解可以出到d咁既野,
同埋sub咁多野出黎做咩??
