Why some solvents can only dissolve some solutes, and some solutes can only be dissolved by some solvents? Do their polars have anything to do with this? How about non-polar solvents and solutes? Do they exist? If so, how do they dissolve/ being dissolved? Thanks!!!!

1.polar molecules can only dissolve in polar solvent2.non-polar molecules can only dissolve in non-polar solvent (e.g.H2O)
