you never get the original sound and character voices when the anime is dubbed. I prefer subbed because its more real and original. it also sounds better than someone sucky making a good character look horrible. for example, naruto. Naruto has the WORST DUBBED VERSION EVER! if you ever watch naruto dubbed, your missing what the characters are really saying.

its another thing if you cant follow the subs. i couldn't before, but the more anime i watched, the more i could understand.so no, i do not prefer the dubbed version.....:P

I personally prefer dubbed, partially because I first saw dubbed anime and I can't stand some of the japanese voices given to certain characters.

It matters if your a good reader or not. I personally prefer watching dubbed just because I can watch them in bed and fall asleep listening to it. You should watch both of them to decide which one you like better.
The animes I like are Naruto And Full Metal Alchemist.

A) Yes.
Only if you live in the U.S and you're used to it, then yes. I like both subbed and dubbed, but you should try watching them before you choose.

English dubbed anime are so good. The mouths don't match the sound quite as much as when the Japanese say it. The lips sren't formed the right way either. Plus they screw up the whole plot.

I refuse to read most anime, because I can't watch what's happening and read the dialog at the same time. Some shows are smart enoguh not to talk during the action, but most aren't, and I hate having to read the dialog, then rewind to enjoy watching what happened.

However, I will admit that a lot of times English dubs are bad. There are some dubs that are clearly better in English, such as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Subbed is THE best!
Not only are the voices totally different from the originals, but the words are all wrong!
As my fellow otaku friend (female friend) put it, while we were disscussing a shojo:
'Watch it in Japanese because in the english version she flys down the stairs and says "I'm ready!" But in the subbed it goes to her racing down the stairs and she screams "I'm officialy primped!"'
That's the difference in a nutshell.
<note: much better when my friend does it! The impersonation is hillarious! lol!>

Honestly, it depends who's dubbing it.

I generally prefer subs, but there are some dubs that did just a good a job of telling the story as the original.

For example, Funimation is known for doing well-done dubs, whereas 4Kids massacres any show they get.

I prefer the subbed versions usually, but it depends on which language you start watching the anime in. If you start in English it might seem weird in Japanese and vice-versa.
In some ways dubbed can be better since you can pay more attention to the anime than reading subtitles. But it all depends on your preferences.
