(20x+10)+(3x+9)=180 not sure of the steps to complete this problem. solve for x?

VERY SIMPLE

1ST REMOVE BRACKETS

20x + 10 + 3x + 9 = 180

DO THE ADDITION

23x + 19 = 180

SEND 19 TO THE OTHER SIDE

23x = 180 - 19

DO THE SUBTRACTION

23 x = 161

DIVIDE BOTH SIDES DY 23

x = 161/23

DO THE DIVISION

x = 7

23 x = 180 - 19
23 x = 161
x = 7

(20x + 10) + (3x + 9) = 180
20x + 10 + 3x + 9 = 180
20x + 3x = 180 - 10 - 9
23x = 161
x = 161/23
x = 7

it's simple....... 20x +10+3x+9 = 23x + 19 = 180

23x = 180 - 19 = 161

thus x = 161/23 = 7!!!!!!

Right, (20x+10) 20 + 10 = 30 so 30x
(3x+9) 3 + 9 = 12 so 12x

30x+12x= 42x

The parenthesis has no role here. So rewrite your equation without the parenthesis:
20x+10+3x+9=180
or
20x+3x+10+9=180
or
23x+19=180 which is rewritten below
23x=180-19
23x=161
x=161/23
x=7
