Crysis Problem Level - Recovery. ?

had the same problem it is a glitch....easy way to automatically cheat to next level (i didn't want to do it either but it is better than starting again)

open the console using the ` key (to the left of the 1 key)

type (without qoutes) "con_restricted 0" hit enter

then type (w/o qoutes again) "map rescue" hit enter

will load the next level (relic)

this is a glitch in the game which I experienced as well, after blowing two tanks you are supposed to be told by prophet to meet him at a cage, however since he doesnt the cave is blocked off (otherwise you could just run through the entire mission and get to cave and win)

so yeah

its a weird cliff bug, where the cliffs dont dissappear
so you have to "fly" through them

some people suggest patching the game to version 1.2 http://www.crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=1073&lim=0 (not sure if this works)
