A dose of 2.5mg of Potassium Permanganate for every Litter of water is best for killing bacterias.
But it is extremely harmful and i would not advice you using at all.... because if you go over 5mg/L, it is over-dosing. Its dangerous and may cause health problems such as chemical jaundice and drop in blood pressure.
However this dark purple/black crystalline solid can cause serious eye injury, is a skin and inhalation irritant, and can be fatal if swallowed.
