✔ 最佳答案
5/6 = (-10/3)y - 5/9

Add 5/9 to both sides:

5/6 + 5/9 = (-10/3)y

Find the LCD:

(5/6)(3/3) + (5/9)(2/2) = (-10/3)y

15/18 + 10/18 = (-10/3)y

25/18 = (-10/3)y

Multiply both sides by -3/10:
(25/18)(-3/10) = y

y = -75/180

y = -15/36

y = -5/12

Or:
5/6 = -10/(3y) - 5/9

Multiply everything by 3y:
15y/6 = -10 - 15y/9

5y/2 = -10 - 5y/3

Add 5y/3 to both sides:
5y/2 + 5y/3 = -10

Find LCD:
15y/6 + 10y/6 = -10

25y/6 = -10

Multiply both sides by 6/25:
y = -60/25

y = -12/5

5/6 = -10/3(y) - 5/9
18(5/6) = 18(-10y/3 - 5/9)
3(5) = 6(-10y) - 2(5)
15 = -60y - 10
60y = -15 - 10
60y = -25
y = -25/60
y = -5/12

First find common denominator

15/18 = -60/18y - 10/18

Add 10/18 to both sides to get y by itself

25/18 = -60/18y

Multiply both sides by reciprocal of -60/18 (18/60, this will cancel out fraction on y side to give you just y)

18/60*25/18 will produce 25/60by cancelling out the 18s. After simplifying the answer will be as follows.

-5/12 = y

Group the unknown on one side.

5/6 + 5/9 = -10/3Y
Make them have the same denominator

(15+10)/18 = -10/3Y
25/18 = -10/3Y

Cross multiply them...
25(3) = -10Y(18)
75 = -180Y
Y = -5/12
2008-09-02 1:12 pm
5/6 + 5/9 = -10/3 y

15/18 + 10/18 = -10y/3

25/18 = -10y/3
75/18 = -10y
-75/180 = y
-15/36 = y
-5/12 = y
2008-09-02 1:11 pm
x 18y
15y = -60 - 10y
25y = -60
y = -60/25
= -12/5
