A baby born in Canada is automatically a Canadian citizen.

If the parents are not Canadian citizens, this won't make them citizens. If they are only here as visitors, the parents will have to go home but the baby can stay.

Once the baby is 18, he or she can sponsor the parents to immigrate to Canada, a process that would take a number of years afterwards.

But you do not get to stay in Canada, so what are you going to do about baby? If you do not take the baby with you, your child can be taken by child welfare authorities and you charged with child abandonment, and your parental rights terminated. Baby will not be able to sponsor your future immigration because baby will not be your legal child.

Having a baby to gain immigration benefits is a horrible, selfish, abusive thing to do. If you want to use and abuse a child like that, don't do it in the US or Canada. How cold & heartless can you be to put such a burden on a child -- "you're only had to get stuff for us."

YES

Under current Canadian law, anyone born in Canada is automatically a Canadian citizen.
BUT that will NOT get any benefits for the parents.
And the parents WILL be required to pay as much as $10,000 for the privilege of giving birth in Canada.
參考: personal experience. I got dumped with a $8000 bill I am still paying off. I was not a permanent resident at the time, although I am now.
