To stop IRD to send you the tax return, you have to write a letter to IRD declaring you were not under any employment starting 2006 and did not have any other taxable income. By doing so, IRD will close your file and will not send you the tax return.

Later, if you have taxable income again, say you are under employed again, your employer will file a employer return to IRD telling them that you are under their employment with the amount of employment income. Then IRD knows you have income again and IRD will send you the tax return again.

In short, no work, no income, no need to fill in tax return. 否則通街阿婆阿伯都要作零伸報，真係好唔得閑！
