hello
i m in perth as well
as you are exchange student, so i think you will probably choose prepaid card right?
you can choose 3, because when everytime you recharge, you can 150 free sms, you can send national and international,
and compare to optus,
3 and Optus sms cost 25cents each
so if you do send sms quite often, you can consider about 3,
but if you talk more than text,
you may think about the turbo cap in optus
hope this can help you
or you can ask me on msn

are you using a prepaid yes optus sim card ?? i think you should use "a cap"
i am using "3 " company now , each SMS is about 25 cents ( national ), but remember that i am using a cap ( they will give you more credit, so it is less than 25 cents ) , but actually i am not sure that are there any 3 companies in Adel. or not ! sorry , but you still can choose Vodafone or Optus caps !!!

if you pick up a call , you dont have to pay any !!! no charge for any mobile companies !!!

sorry , i am staying in Perth !

by the way , are you sending national sms or int. sms ??

in 3 mobile company , they have a package for sending email !!! you just pay $3 AUD , then you can send and receive as much as emails you want ! and like $5 AUD , play MSN too
have a look this company if you have there haha
