Can the Browns win the Super Bowl?

I think that if the Browns play their best that with the additions that they made will possibly lead them to a Super Bowl victory. First of all they had a great offense last year and to improve they added Donte Stallworth. They added big boy Shaun Rodgers to the DL and now with Brodney poole and Andra Davis they have an above-average defense. Josh Cribbs also is a great return man so....can the Browns win it all?

it seems like everyone has forgotten that the browns went 10-6 last year. I think they have a chance, but as a browns fan im just lookin to make the playoffs first. They have a Pro Bowl QB- Anderson, a Pro Bowl WR- Braylon Edwards, a Pro Bowl TE- Kellen Winslow, an awesome O-Line, and Jamal Lewis. Sure their Defense was downright awful last year but Eric Wright is 1 year wiser as is Brandon McDonald. Brodney Pool and Sean Jones are both above average safeties. Shaun Rogers and Corey Williams make the D-Line pretty good and Kamerion Wimbley is just 1 year removed from a double digit sack season. Leon Williams and D'Qwell Jackson are a little raw but Jackson has proven solid in the past and Willie McGinist has seen better days but can still help out some of those younger guys on the D. I'd say that the Browns should be an exciting team this year, but after watching the Indians promising season go down the crapper I know all to well that injuries can tear a team apart. GO BROWNS!

They cant win the super bowl this year due to fact that they cant make it to there in the first place.

Unfortunately for Browns fans, they never play their best for an entire season. A few weeks, sure, but not all 17 weeks.

No.

NO WAY IN HELL!

NO WAY!

people that say HELL NO are the same people that said HELL NO to the giants last pre-season

the game has some luck involved and more important injuries. also a team that plays as a team will do better than a bunch of good players that play individually.

Its possible but not likely.

YES they can.

If they can just add a OLB (Colvin), or CB opposite Eric Wright (Ty Law) OR add another DE (get Strahan outta retirement.)

then they would be ABSOLUTE locks.

Mm yeah maybe but there's still a very long way untill the Super Bowl, which will be by Februry 2009.
By the way, I want the Colts to win :P

I think if every NFL franchise is bombed, there just might be a chance.

There's no chance, it's not even one of those contenders that could upset everyone. You can dream though.

they are already eradicated this season. they might desire to attend till next season to compete returned. Their destiny isn't looking too vivid as I doubt that Colt McCoy will ever grow to be something better than an NFL-high quality backup at terrific. Their receiving corps is has an extremely proficient playmaker in Josh Cribbs (their maximum athletic participant) and a experienced receiver in Massaquoi, yet they lack the different remotely user-friendly receiving skills on their squad in any respect. Their protective backs are additionally a brilliant downside as any team can merely kill them with the deep ball and a few speedy wideouts all sport long. they do no longer generate a great bypass rush with their 3-4, yet they do have a reliable NT in Rubin who performed fairly nicely. professional-Bowl high quality NT in my opinion. They do have a promising smashmouth attack headed by employing their bucking bronco of a RB in Hillis and their offensive line is fairly good at run-blockading exceptionally as a results of fact they have great skills like Alex mack at C and Joe Thomas at LT. in the event that they draft an excellent DE to place next to their good NT in Rubin then they might have the skill to create some style of bypass rush and take rigidity off of their vulnerable DBs. Drafting a WR severe in the draft and putting him with Massaquoi and Cribbs might make this receiving corps grow to be extra ambitious than predicted and circulate an prolonged way into arising McCoy. Their destiny isn't looking too vivid and a great Bowl is out of the question in the close to destiny with a vulnerable passing sport and an undesirable secondary, yet a reliable working sport, punishing offensive line, and strong nostril address is particularly much as good of a commencing up as any to construct upon.

At best they might win 9 games... The Super Bowl not a chance. To win the Super Bowl you gotta have some big time players. Im not a Arizona Cardinals fan but look @ them and then look @ the browns. AZ has Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Levi Brown, Matt leinart, Antrell Rolle, Edgrrin James and rookie Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie. At best they might win 9 games as well.

sorry...not gonna happen

They had a wonderful offseason picking up so many good players like Shaun Rogers on defense and having that offensive firepower with Edwards and Andersen. The only question mark player is Brady Quinn. I think they can make if they don't collapse like the Tigers.

in good time man.

No, because there secondary is not that good. Eh-hem, look at the Lions folks. They had an amazing defensive line last year but an average secondary. that mightve cost em to go 1-7 the last 8 games.

I think they are going to do what the Browns do.... Make their fans think they have a shot, then take the field. They haven't won their division in 20 years and I can't remember the last playoff game they won (Kosar?) Anyway, they are a perennial losing franchise and should be banned from the NFL along with the Lions.
2008-08-31 11:18 pm
they can if they play hard enough
2008-08-31 11:17 pm
sure
y not

The browns have a below average defense. They still can't stop the pass. They were 26 in the NFL last year in that category and they did not make any signifigant improvements to it. Beau Bell their first pick is also injured which will affect their run defense.

You have tlook at it realisticly. Are the Browns better than the Patriots...no, better than the Chargers...no, better than the Colts...no, better than the Jaguars...no.

Browns will win the division, but will be out after the first game.
