How's life as a student in international schools?

Hello! I am a 15 year old girl who migrated to another country when I was 2 years old. However, my family and I are returning to HK next year and I will most probably be enrolled in one of the Island Schools or United World College. I will take the IB instead of A levels, which is a tougher programme.

I would like to know whether the education system in international schools are as intense and rigid as the local schools since a large portion of their students are hong kongers.

Do the international students wear uniforms or homeclothes?
Do HK's libraries offer a wide range of english reference books?
Are there any stores that RENT english storybooks?
How's the art scene in HK? I love plays and visiting museums! Any museum to recommend other than the one at Victoria Peak?

I'm visiting HK next month =D

I appreciate all your answers but could you answer in english(even if it's broken english) because I don't want to irritate my cousin to translate for me since she's already navigating the website. Thanks a lot

Hi! I'm 15 too and I go to one of the international schools here in Hong Kong. I was in Canada before that. Its very hard for a slacker like me to adapt to international school because its pretty hard and you have to work way harder. But i heard that its even harder in local schools.
i think that all international schools in HK wear uniforms, but in my school, we don't have to wear uniforms when you're in year 12 and 13. not all schools have that, though.
HK's libraries have quite a few english reference books, but you're better off visiting your school library. or try the internet.
stores probably wont rent out their books to you, you're better off visiting the library or just buying it. there's this bookshop called PageOne that sells a lot of english books.
They have a ton of museums here, like heritage museums and cultural ones. i like the science museum in Tsim Sha Tsui and the Space museum that's also convieniently located in Tsim Sha Tsui. I don't know much about art, but there's quite a lot of art shows around.

Hope that helped you and have fun in HK!
